The extent of noise-related damage to your hearing depends on three factors: decibel level, distance, and time. Learn how loud noises can put children’s hearing at risk over time. 

Just as you teach your children to wear sunscreen, use a seatbelt, and wear a bicycle helmet, teach them to wear hearing protectors to limit noise exposure.

Keep hearing the sounds you love! Earplugs and earmuffs help protect your hearing from harmful noises. You’ll still be able to hear the sounds you love, but your hearing will be protected from damaging noise.

It’s a noisy planet! Many sounds are safe, but others can damage your hearing. This damage is called noise-induced hearing loss, or NIHL for short.
